Free Binder Clinic™ Program

EDUCATION = HARM REDUCTION

Mission & Goals

Mission

The mission of the Free Binder Clinic™ Program is two-fold. First, to offer peer education about safe and safer chest binding techniques, product options and proper garment care. Second, to make safe chest binders and chest binding tape available and accessible, free of charge to the Richmond, VA transgender community.

Goals

By providing both education and access to safe chest binders, the Free Binder Clinic™ Program's goals is to contribute to gender euphoria within the transgender community by giving access to an item that can be essential to reducing the experience of dysphoria; increasing safety, well-being and self-esteem.

We believe that education = harm reduction.
